DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Currently driving video workflows for CNN Digital including media ingest, cloud edit, mobile journalism, asset management, finishing facilities, new technology, and vendor relationships. Leading a “get it done squad” of production specialists to operationalize multi-platform video content creation for editorial partners in NY, DC, LA, Atlanta, London, and Hong Kong.

MEDIA WORKFLOW SPECIALIST

I love creating incredibly complex flowcharts, because of their potential to bring an organization together around a single honest view of their post production process. By listening and mapping out systems, steps, inputs, and outputs, I’ve helped bring more efficient workflows to life at A+E, CNN, Time Warner Cable, and many consulting clients.

CERTIFIED ADOBE TRAINER

One of a few Adobe-certified Premiere Pro instructors during the “great migration” from FCP7 and Avid, 2014-2018. Referred by Adobe into broadcasters, post houses, and agencies in LA and NYC. Created the “Done With Dylan” series of short tutorials, co-authored the book “The Cool Stuff in Premiere Pro” with Jarle Leirpoll, and taught hundreds of editors the ins and outs of Adobe’s NLE.

AWARD-WINNING EDITOR

Emmy-winning editor of over 1,000 hours of sports, documentary, reality, and comedy at CBS, MTV, Time Warner Cable, and Current TV. Videos for Great Big Story, Wondros, Funny or Die, and other clients continue to rack up millions of views. Great editing makes any video more fun, engaging, and successful, so I love that my career is about helping editors do their best work.
